Knowledge Bomb #14: Be brief: how to get your stakeholders' attention

The key to building relationships with your stakeholders is understanding what motivates them. Most stakeholders are short on time and think differently from you. To keep stakeholders updated, I use two tactics: first, a short video or update message via Teams or Slack. I get straight to the point with no fluff to maintain their attention.

The second approach is to write in bullets, clearly stating what you need from them, such as whether you're seeking a decision, just sharing information, etc. It may seem rude and direct, but it helps your stakeholders absorb information quickly without feeling drained.
